2010 DOWNTOWN MARKET PLACE STUDY
MARKET ANALYSIS/RECOVERY PLAN: Hilary Greenberg
Nationally recognized downtown planning consultant and speaker Hilary Greenberg presents her findings from the Downtown Market Place Report. The report was prepared by Greenberg Development Services (Charlotte, North Carolina) with Frazier Associates (Staunton, Virginia) for the City of Anthony. Funding was provided through a Community Capacity Building Grant from the Kansas Department of Commerce. The Consultant reviews market trends and constraints that impact Downtown Anthony as it begins to rebuild from the fire last July, 2009. The consultant will review recommendations for enhancing downtown's physical infrastructure, expand local businesses, recruit new businesses and encourage greater private reinvestment Downtown.
Hilary Greenberg is a principal of Greenberg Development Services (GDS); a twenty-five year planning firm that provides technical assistance to downtown organizations and state and local governments dealing with downtown development issues. GDS has developed retail leasing plans, business recruitment strategies and development plans for downtown and neighborhood commercial districts across the country. Ms. Greenberg is a frequent speaker at national and state conferences. In Kansas, Ms. Greenberg has worked with the Kansas Main Street Program and the communities of Hays and Leavenworth.

Frazier Associates, of Staunton, Virginia was founded in 1986 by principals Kathy Frazier, AIA and Bill Frazier, AICP, with a mission to strengthen historic communities through design. The firm has since grown to be a full-service architecture and planning firm that specializes in downtown revitalization, historic preservation, urban infill and community planning.
